Many household products, including thousands of products for babies and toddlers, are made with types of plastic that have been shown to leach BPA into food and drinks. "A Wake-Up Story" is HCHW's award-winning, must-see video for every parent and anyone that cares about the health and development of children. Watch it. Share it. Join the movement.
The toxins in our environment are much more dangerous for babies and children than for adults. Because they're still growing, kids are at the greatest risk of developing diseases and illnesses caused by exposure to toxins such as bisphenol A (BPA), phthalates, lead and other chemicals. At Klean Kanteen, we created the first stainless steel bottle designed for personal use because we were worried by early studies linking plastic use to a long list of illnesses. We wanted to give consumers a safe, healthy alternative.
We're continue to partner with Healthy Child Healthy World, an organization committed to protecting our nation's children. Healthy Child Healthy World is the nonprofit leader in educating the public about preventing children's exposure to harmful chemicals, something we wholeheartedly support.
"Over the years, we've been very impressed with the work of Healthy Child Healthy World to protect kids," said Jeff Cresswell, co-owner of Klean Kanteen. "Through this partnership, we hope to reach out to a much wider segment of the population and help more parents create healthier, safer environments for their children."
