Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wanted to love it. I was so excited to finally get this cap. After waiting for over a year for it to be released, I am disappointed. I sometimes get a dribble down the side of the when I first put the lid on. Maybe the heat of the coffee initially requires a little extra lid snugging. End of the day when I try to get the lid off to clean everything, it is SO tight I can hardly remove it. Also, the beverage doesn't flow very freely at times and I can't figure out what causes this. Sometimes it's when full and other times when almost empty. I do love that it IS leakproof but have switched back to my old caps. Glad I kept them. Hopefully v.3 will be awesome!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaky And Drink Flow issues And Falls Apart. When taken apart and put back together sometimes this lid works, no leak when closed, can drink out of it when open. But 100% of the time the flow will stop after a few times sipping. So you have to take the lid off and loosen the screw and wiggle the seal disk to get flow back. Now the seal is loose and the lid will leak if turned even if closed. So you deal with it because being able to drink is more important than not spilling. But now the screw is loose and will fall off and so will the seal, clanking around in your cup until you burn your hands getting it put to put it back on or finish the drink.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Seals without leaking, but when pouring, liquid barely trickles out and splashes I use my Klean Kanteen to bring coffee to work. The idea of the Cafe Cap 2.0 was perfect because I could drink from the Kanteen or pour it into a coffee mug at the office. It does seal really well and I don't worry about leaking during my commute, but in trying to pour the coffee from the KK into a mug, it barely dribbles out. And, what does some out kind of "glugs" which makes for coffee splashes outside the mug that wouldn't happen with a steady stream from the original Cafe Cap. For the price, I assumed it would work really well. I've only had the cap for 2 months and it has done this from the start. Maybe I have a defective one?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Café Cap 2.0 ABSOLUTELY LEAKS Completely disappointed. I'd been a KK/Klean Kanteen supporter for years, then tried some competing brands over the past six to eight months. I recently decided to try/switch back to KK based on the great reviews regarding the new "leakproof" Café Cap 2.0. I just filled my new Insulated Wide 12oz coffee mug for the first time, applied the Café Cap 2.0, and, without question, the cap MOST DEFINITELY LEAKS. After spending $27.95 + having coffee spill onto my clothing, I'm a little disappointed to say the least. Can't say I'll remain loyal to this brand. Unfortunate.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from KK, you are better than this. I want to start by saying I love Klean Kanteen and my kids and I have a total of about 14 Kanteens. I use them every day for everything, including my coffee. I just can't, no matter how hard I try, get on board with the coffee lid (Cafe Cap 2). Why? It's not necessary for all this trouble to make a lid leak proof. It's a pain to take a part, clean, put back together and not to mention it still leaks sometimes. KK, please look at your main competition for some ideas. They have the coffee lid figured out. Please, just make a new coffee lid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great idea - overdue! There are a half dozen coffee kanteens in our household, one for each of us. Everyone loves the amazing ability to keep coffee or tea hot all day, the good looks, and the exceptional durability, but that annoying flaw of the potential leak was universally anxiety provoking. I'd go so far as to wrap mine in paper towels and seal it in a ziplock bag... When news of the new cap was released, I immediately ordered one for each cup. All good now. They work every bit as well as promised. A little tricky to disassemble for cleaning but I just try to flush it good at the end of the day. I do feel a bit bad about the retired caps; not much future for them...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First Use Review I just purchased this in conjunction with a 16oz Kanteen. With just a couple of uses so far, it seals nicely and is simple to disassemble and clean. There are only 5 pieces to the lid making it simple to reassemble. If I was putting it in a bag where it was not going to be upright for an extended period if time, I might trust a traditional lid for that use. I mix MCT oil and butter in my coffee and use this as a shaker to mix. So far it does not spill unless there is a small amount of fluid trapped somewhere between the gasket and the lid top piece. I'll update my review with more use. Thus far it performs on par with my old Contigo coffee cups.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Retains Odors, Hard to Use, Leaks After ten uses & cleanings, the rubber seal in the cap smells like stale coffee. I've soaked that part in soapy water, in coffee machine cleaner, scrubbed it, run it through the dishwasher. It seems to be permanently infused. I never know how much flow I'm going to get when I take a drink. I can open it with one hand, but it's actually less effort and concentration to use two hands, because it takes so much force. And it leaks a little. For such a complex part, it fails at its basic functions. I wanted to love it, but I'm starting to think it hates me.
