Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jug! I got tired of buying gallon sized reusable plastic jugs as they would eventually break and I just don't dig plastic. There's not really any gallon sized metal containers and when I'm on a road trip I like to have at least a gallon of water in the truck for mountain bike rides, rinsing gear after surfing, watering the dog, etc.. I picked up two of these and they're perfect! I've found I like this option even more than having a full gallon as I can toss one of these in a pack for a longer adventure and it doesn't weigh me down. The wide mouth is great for ease of cleaning and balances a water purifier really well. Thanks Klean Kanteen!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Indispensable We use gravity filters to purify our home drinking water and we have five of these growlers that sit on the counter holding our purified water. We use this water for drinking, cooking, rinsing of veggies and for any use of water that may make contact with our food. We used to reuse glass juice jars and the like but they are hard to unscrew and not portable. Now when we want to take water to work (who would use those communal office water coolers with water stored in plastic for months!!!??) we just grab a growler. We keep one in the car for emergencies and for the dog after a long walk. Need to add another one as my son decided he needed to abscond with one of ours. :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Possum For a good while, (id say around 3 or so years) I have looked for the perfect water bottle. I have always looked for a above normal size as well as something that I can use and use and use again. This 64oz of beauty of a water is the PERFECT fit. I'm not one to be so excited about a product, let alone write a review, but I feel that this product deserves it. I have had one for almost a year now and could not be happier. It is the perfect size ( I only need to reuse it once a day, mind you I work outdoors so I am in constant need for hydration). It is sturdy enough to take a good hit or too and still do its function, was a bit on the pricier side? Yes but it was worth every penny considering how much bottled water is and the environmental impact all of those plastic bottles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ran it over with my truck, still water tight I have had my 64 oz. wide mouth Klean Kanteen for about five years. I am a builder, and go through lots of water daily. I have dropped this water bottle dozens of times over the years, but the little dings just added to the character. This week, however, I ran it over with my Tundra. I was super bummed, but once I cleaned it off, found that it still holds water! This is one tough water bottle. Couldn't recommend it any higher

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor handle, short-life o-rings Its a nice big bottle, but after about 6 months it has developed a leaky o-ring. If the O-ring needs to be replaced that often, 3 or 4 should be included since this costs 3x more than a nalgene, and is only 2x the size. Also, you can't attach the cap to anything if the bottle is full. If its swinging on the outside of a bag, it will unscrew itself under its own weight. The plastic replacement cap with the metal pivoting ring is a good start, but it would probably make more sense to make a loop attach to the bottle, rather than attach to the thing that is meant to come attached to the bottle in the first place. This bottle would be even better if the cap was the same width as the entire bottle, so you could fill this thing with food and use it that way too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wide 64 bought online direct. I bought a 32 oz double wall insulated at Academy Sports in Athens Ga. After about 4 months I lost it and after searching Athens over I found only small, maybe 12-16 oz KKs. So, I went to the net and ordered direct from you. I went bigger thinking it would help this summer. Well, I missed the part where the 64 is NOT insulated. Basically a stainless can. Hot water by the end of the day. My fault, I should have looked at the page longer. Luckily, I found the first one, the 32 and love it. Wish the 64 was insulated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good solid canteens I've had a classic sport canteen from these guys for a while, and it's held up through hell and back. I decided to get some larger sizes for camping and hiking, and, so far, they've shown the same durability. Someone mentioned that the mouth is a little hard to drink from because it's so wide, and this seemed a bit ridiculous to me until I ended up having water pouring down my shirt. Just drink from it like you're drinking from a cup, and you'll be fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb water bottle I had the 40 oz variant first and noticed that it would not get me very far. However, I really like the stainless steel design in comparison to the Sigg bottles which are made from aluminum and coated with who-knows-what on the inside. The 64 oz is my primary water bottle every day. When I first started drinking from it, I had the feeling I had as a little child while drinking out of adult mugs. After a while one gets used to that, though. In my case I would not call it all day supply as I apparently drink at least 150% of the capacity each day. But still better than those 1.5 liter plastic bottles. The only caveat is that they get dents when you drop them. I have been handling mine pretty careful, so that is not a concern. Other people prefer the Nalgene plastic ones because they do not deform when dropped. However I like the purity of the stainless steel.
