FloydFest Works with Klean for a Greener Xperience

Started in 2002 on a small farm near Floyd, Virginia, FloydFest is now over 10,000 attendees, celebrating its 10-year anniversary as an event that has become a model for the independent, grassroots, multi-genre family friendly outdoor music festival. This anniversary edition, aptly named FloydFest X, created a whole new eXperience with the help of Klean Kanteen.

FloydFest Photo GalleryFloydFest, which is situated on the pristine and non-commercial Blue Ridge Parkway, continues to value environmental sustainability and cleanliness. Together, Klean Kanteen and FloydFest installed a commercial well, making it possible to provide FREE drinking water to all festival patrons. The immediate impact was eliminating the waste of more than 50,000 single-use plastic water bottles throughout the weekend. In addition, all attendees consuming beer and wine purchased a special edition Klean Kanteen Steel Pint. The 16oz stainless steel pint was emblazoned with the FloydFest X logo and eliminated the use of more than 64,000 single-use plastic cups!

Klean Kanteen is proud to be associated with such an amazing festival and we look forward to many more great eXperiences at FloydFest in the years to come. Here's hoping that other festivals will follow their lead in reducing single-use plastic!
