Why do we operate like this? Certainly not because it’s easy! We do it because we believe it is our core responsibility as a business.
And reducing impact in a meaningful way can’t be done alone. We rely on a trifecta of partners to help guide our efforts and keep our standards sky high and trending ever upward.
We believe that all businesses should be accountable for their greenhouse gas emissions. As a Climate Neutral Certified company since 2020, we measure and report annual emissions for all activities from cradle to customer, show progress on science-aligned reduction targets, and contribute to projects beyond our operations and value chain that avoid or reduce emissions equal to 100% of our measured emissions.
Over $4.1 Million Donated and Counting
Every time you make a purchase from Klean we invest 1% of the sale into organizations working hard to make the world a more resilient and sustainable place. Through our 1% for the Planet membership our customer community has allowed us to donate over 4.1 million dollars to organizations doing significant work in our key areas of focus: plastic pollution, safe consumer products, conservation and climate, and outdoor stewardship.

Breast Cancer Prevention Partners
BCPP works to prevent breast cancer by eliminating human exposure to toxic chemicals and radiation linked to the disease. The organization has published 33 major scientific studies and reports, secured passage of the California Cleaning Product Right to Know Act, and raised consumer and lawmaker awareness about toxic chemicals in cosmetics, fragrances, canned goods and children’s toys.
Our American Rivers partnership supports their goal to protect wild rivers, restore damaged rivers and conserve clean water for people and nature.
Klean Kanteen helped with their 50th Anniversary Celebration by making Limited Edition TKWide water bottles with custom artwork, and we continue to support their mission with products and donations.
Our long time partnership with NatureBridge continues to help support their mission to connect young people to the wonder and science of the natural world, igniting self-discovery and inspiring stewardship of our planet. Through overnight, hands-on environmental science programs, they take more than 35,000 children and teens each year into our national parks to explore the outdoors.
