Inspired by a Plastic-Free Experience
Ideally situated in the small town of Bahia Ballena-Uvita, Osa on Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast, Bodhi Surf and Yoga is the first B Corp certified surf and yoga camp in the world. Travis Bays is the surfer, father, friend and owner behind this unique, sustainable business.
Over the eleven years Travis has lived in Costa Rica he has developed a deep connection with the country. His experiences inspired him to develop Bodhi Surf and Yoga, with a small group of friends, as a way to give back to the community and the guests of this immersive camp.
One really cool initiative that I am super passionate about right now is creating a tourism destination that is plastic-free. Try and get hotels, restaurants, other businesses to get off of plastic. Plastic straws, plastic bags, plastic water bottles.
Travis is passionate about providing his guests with a plastic-free experience. He has chosen to use Klean Kanteen products as a way to introduce people to what a plastic-free lifestyle can look like. Many return home from their time in Costa Rica inspired to question their single-use habits and integrate reusables into their everyday life. Hearing those stories fuels the stoke of Travis and the Bodhi Surf and Yoga crew!
Klean is excited to share stories of inspiring local heroes from our global community who are reducing single-use waste and living Klean in a big way. We hope you’ll be as inspired as we are. #BringYourOwn
