"My family's been using Klean Kanteen stainless steel bottles for several years. This insulated bottle came with the cafe cap but I purchased the TK Wide Loop Cap which gives me the option of stainless steel on the inside of the cap. The bottle keeps my water cold for a good long while, even on steamy-hot days."

- Is the outer diameter of the Brushed variant exactly 76.2mm, please could you re-measure with calipers in person? That would be too wide for my car cupholder then.
- Yes these are specs from our factory and product team, with calipers, so measurements are accurate.
- What are the lids made of? I am looking for a completely plastic free option.
- Hello, Our caps are made from Polypropylene #5 (PP5) and does not contain BPA or BPS, in addition PP5 has high heat tolerance and as such, it does not break down or leach chemicals other plastics do. We do have our Bamboo and Steel Loop Cap made from 18/8 food grade safe stainless steel.
- Why does if say easy clean? Taking it apart after a few uses is gross and not at all easy! Should you take it apart to clean after every use? I have to use a knife to pop the parts out. The scum that builds up is yuk! If you forget to take apart to clean it stops flowing. Are there directions when you purchase? I don’t remember seeing any. Clean canteen it is not!
- HI, Hi there, It depends on how often and what type of liquids are being used in your Kanteen. If dairy products such as milk or creamer or smoothies are being use, we would suggest cleaning the cap daily.
